In October 2015, I launched UCL Antenna, a new digital publication, hosted on Medium, to showcase fascinating stories and unsung heroes at UCL.
As well as writing and commissioning the articles themselves, I have overseen the creation of a UCL Antenna visual identity.
I have also built our audience on Medium and helped to amplify each feature’s reach through paid-for Twitter and Facebook campaigns.
The inbuilt analytics in Medium allow me to monitor not only the number of views for each Antenna feature, but also the full number of ‘reads’ that it receives.
This demonstrates conclusively that there is an appetite for pieces that take at least 10 minutes to read.
To date, more than 20,000 people have viewed UCL Antenna’s features.
